George Miller began his career in the securitization and bond market in the year 1990 as an attorney in the Corporation Department at Sidley, Austin, Brown and Wood LLP. As an attorney, he became specialized in structured finance transactions and represented issuers and underwriters of mortgage and asset-backed securities.
Miller was a talented individual right throughout his educational career. He holds a J.D degree from the Fordham University School of Law. He earned a B.A in political science from the University of Michigan and then completed a Master’s degree in public policy from the same university.
George Miller became associated with the Bond Market Association (TBMA) in 1993. He joined as assistant general counsel and principal staff adviser to TBMA’s Mortgage and Securitized Products Division. During his tenure in TBMA, George Miller was instrumental in expanding the association’s securitization market capabilities and resources. Miller has made a phenomenal contribution to the creation of European Securitization Forum in 1998 and has also assisted in the establishment of American Securitization Forum or ASF in 2001. Both these forums act as adjunct to TBMA.
George Miller is currently employed as the Executive Director of the American Securitization Forum. He is serving as the ASF’s senior staff executive and oversees the Forum’s staff and securitization market advocacy initiatives.
